Can
you help me choose a class for my child?
The
age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully
constructed to group children in an age and developmentally appropriate
way. Therefore it is important that your child be at least the minimum age
by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling.

What

When
can we come to a trial class?
Once
classes are established, please call me on 9390 4993
to arrange to sit in on a class during term time.
[ top ]
What
should I expect from a Trial Class?
If
you and your child are able to make it to a trial class, it
is a good opportunity to meet the teacher and see her learning style. You
will also see the variety of the activit ies
in a typical kindermusik class and may get a chance to see the quality of
the At Home Materials.
While
we will invite everyone to participate in the activities it is wise not to
expect too much from your child on the first day. It is not uncommon for a
child to attend for several weeks before feeling comfortable in class.
Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often
evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather than in a certain
level of participation in class. The most important thing you can do for
your child is to be an active and patient role model.

I bring my younger child to the class?
Due
to limited class sizes and the delicacy of the younger class settings Village
and Our Time classes can only accommodate

in a capsule or stroller. However, emergency situations are considered, so
please call if we can help.

[ top ]
What
should we bring?
We
do request that toys and juice cups be kept out of sight and that snacks
be finished prior to class. Be sure to dress comfortably.
Are
parents involved in the class?
Yes,
parents play an important role in any Kindermusik class.
During
class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an
active and patient role model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend
for several weeks before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be
discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in
the comfort of the home environment rather than in a certain level of
participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the parent or
caregiver in the class and at home are key to facilitating musical
learning and growth.
You
and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience,
especially if you make active use of your At Home Materials. Reinforcement
and enjoyment of the Kindermusik materials make all the difference to a
child’s feeling of comfort and security in the classroom.
The
first half hour of the Imagine That! class for 3-5 year olds, the children
attend on their own but all family members are invited into the class for
the final 15 minutes of Sharing Time.

Do you offer a Guarantee?
We
are committed to excellence in teaching and service. We ensure this
by attending available Kindermusik Professional Development Seminars and
Conferences, participating in online courses and conference phone calls
and collaborating with our colleagues.
We
encourage parents to communicate with the teacher after the class or by
phone if there are any issues that need addressing. If, after six weeks of
complete attendance at classes, use of the at home materials and after
consultation with your Kindermusik Educator, your satisfaction is not what
we all expected we will refund the balance of your tuition costs. The CDs
books and all materials will remain yours to keep.

When
should I enrol?
Although
you may join our classes at anytime, you should register early since class
sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Enrolling at least 3 weeks before
the semester begins also ensures that we will have your child’s
materials ready for the first class.
Students
enrolled by the Early Bird date will receive a discount
provided payment is received in full.
A
place can be secured (and materials ordered) with a minimum deposit. The
balance is required on the commencement
of
term classes.
[If you need to pay in instalments due to difficulty paying by lump sum,
then an agreed arrangement for this can be discussed however, the
early bird discount will not be applicable under these circumstances.]
All
fee rates and payment details can be found on the enrolment
form.
