AIMS and BENEFITS of LEARNING MUSIC INTRODUCTION: It can not be emphasised enough the rewards and benefits of learning to play music. Music is a universal language and with today's technology the capabilities of learning to create, record and reproduce music are endless. Everyone has the ability to learn at their own pace and given the opportunity, can become quite accomplished performers. PRIMARY AIMS To give all children and adults the opportunity of learning, understanding and gaining skills within their ability, in order to play a musical instrument as an individual, in a suitable environment. To extend each individual so they can perform to their fullest potential. To enhance each individual's learning through a wide range of musical experiences. To provide opportunities for individuals to perform and achieve within their capabilities. To teach in a way that will allow for all individuals to enjoy learning to play an instrument, no matter what their age or stage is! BENEFITS Gaining practical skills associated with playing a musical instrument. Gaining theoretical skills and general understanding in order to apply practical skills to a various instrument(s).
