OBSERVERS MUSIC GROUPS/INDIVIDUAL It is encouraged that parents/caregivers attend if their child is enrolled in the preschool music group. For all other music group tuition, attendance by one family member or parent/guardian is encouraged but not enforced (due to room capacity). Individual lessons allow for family members to attend if they wish. Again, it is encouraged for a parent/guardian to attend from time to time to be aware of the achievements and any techniques and skills that may require a little more attention. DANCE GROUPS For a trial period initially - only a parent or guardian may attend to observe classes. It is preferred that siblings do not attend unless they are enrolled in the class. The reason for this is that, particularly with younger siblings, it is possible it may cause some distraction and disruption particularly for the younger children who are attending class. Parent / guardian attendance will be reviewed from time to time. In mime and movement groups, children must be encouraged not to continually run back and forth to their mum! Adherence to this may determine whether observers may continue to attend. Some children do perform better when mum isn't there, but I understand the need for mums to ensure that their child is in a "safe" environment too! Another positive aspect for a parent or guardian to attend is to understand what things need to be practised! Mums are encouraged to participate in Mime and Movement Groups! |
