SUITABLE CLOTHES TO WEAR

Introduction - Preschoolers - Introduction to Dance - Tap - Jazz - Singing/Acting

INTRODUCTION

For many reasons, it may seem impractical to being spending many dollars on clothing and footwear for a particular class, especially if your child is attending dance classes for the first time.  Sometimes though this can add to the enthusiasm of the children by having "special clothes and footwear" to wear to dance classes.

Tappers of course are disadvantaged right from the outset if mum hasn't purchased a pair of tap shoes.  The beats from hard soled shoes just don't quite sound the same!

Perhaps mums could reflect the needs of the children involved in sport, - certainly playing soccer or football requires certain clothing and footwear, tennis players require a tennis racquet and suitable footwear.  It would be very difficult to play soccer in bare feet, in fact regulations are likely not to allow this at all!

So whilst I am relatively open to the various options of clothing and footwear, I do strongly recommend that suitable footwear is purchased fairly early on.
